Slik Tawk has this sound that’s going to resonate with a female & male audience simultaneously because our music comes from both perspectives. We stand out because of our respect & knowledge of hip hop and R&B legends. Our love for paying homage, combined with our ability to be innovative, as well as relative to what’s current has caused us to create a unique sound that’s fresh but also gives you that good nostalgic feeling. We put a lot of heart in creativity in our work. Most groups don’t last too long because it’s a gimmick or forced but our energy is organic. Our love of music & our mutual respect for each other helped us create an unbreakable bond. Also since we combine so many genres and time periods in our music, we are able to make timeless music that will appear to many regardless of their sex, race, age or orientation. We have something special and we’re looking forward to sharing our art with everyone.but we so playa and pimpish that we could never hate on each other fr and let bs come between us even if we have disagreements we gone work it out. Our life experiences, the need to express ourselves musically, along with being exposed to so many great artist over the years have assisted us with cultivating our smooth, funky vibe. Also being influenced by artist such as UGK, Kanye West, Prince, D’Angelo, Missy Elliot, Doja Cat, Partynextdoor, Tribe Called Quest, Lil Kim, Dungeon Family,8Ball & MJG, and countless others. Slik Tawk was created in Columbia South Carolina. We had our first group performance September 2024 on The Chosen 1TV, which airs in multiple states on The Fox Network. Slik Tawk will unite multiple generations & people from all walks of life through feel good music. We will also be known for staying true to ourselves at all times and our signature sound.
