"Apryl Renee's "Proud of My Culture÷""

Overall Impression
Full of charm and boasting impassioned performances throughout, Apryl Renee's collaborative effort with fellow artist Msanii Foreman, "Proud of My Culture", is an infectious celebration of heritage and unity, wrapped in the vibrant, groove-rich rhythms of Afropop. This track doesn't just play; it dances, and it invites you to join in, wrapping you in its warmth and joy from the first beat. This track is many things, a celebration, a reminder, and a call to action. It’s a track that invites you to dance, to reflect, and above all, to take pride in who you are and where you come from. The combination of heartfelt lyrics, engaging vocal performances, and a richly layered arrangement makes this a track that will resonate long after the last note fades. - Jango

Bio

Singer. Songwriter. Producer. Pianist. Apryl Renee is a one-woman package who delivers passion and beauty in every note. On stage, she takes listeners on a journey through various genres through blends of R&B and soul with subtle hints of pop, creating a sound that is as unique as it is timeless. Often compared to iconic voices like Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and India Arie, Apryl's music evokes deep emotions while showcasing her extraordinary vocal range and power.

Rooted in gospel music, Apryl began her journey as a church singer and pianist at a young age. Her gospel foundation laid the groundwork for her to infuse raw passion and authenticity into every performance. Over her career, Apryl has graced prestigious stages, including the legendary Apollo Theater in New York, the University of Nairobi in Kenya, and Disney World, captivating audiences with her sultry, sassy, and soulful presence.

In 2002, Apryl released her debut album, Crystal Clear, produced by famed guitarist Chip Shearin. Now, she is making a powerful return with her upcoming EP that features the title track “Warning”, mixed by the legendary Rheji Burrell of Burrell Brothers Entertainment Group.  From “Warning” that mixes love and scorn to the breathtaking ballad “My Choice” that features Apryl on the keys, the captivating new release delves into themes of love, heartbreak, cultural pride, and tranquility, reaffirming her place as a versatile and gifted artist.

With a voice that stirs the soul and lyrics that speak to the heart, Apryl is a voice you don’t just hear—you feel.
